The English-born Irish singer, songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer of Celtic punk band The Pogues, has always - and continues to - do things his own unique way. Rated as "one of the best writers of the century” by Joe Strummer, MacGowan recorded a cover version of the iconic song ‘My Way’ in 1996 which was featured in advertising for Nike. The lyrics carry a special resonance which he made very much his own.
