Waller-Bridge says “The Edinburgh Fringe changed my life.” She first performed her brilliant one-woman play, Fleabag, at Underbelly in 2013, funded with a Kickstarter, and sharing a two-bedroom flat with seven others at The Edinburgh Fringe while performing the show which earned her an Olivier Award nomination and a Fringe First Award, before going on to be adapted into the TV series which helped make her a household name. Now with co-scriptwriting credits for the last Daniel Craig James Bond outing under her belt, she’s helping give other aspiring playwrights and comedians their big break in her role as Fringe Society President.
