It’s over 54 years since the movie premiere of The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine in which the band agree to accompany Captain Fred in his yellow submarine to Pepperland to free it from the music-hating Blue Meanies. The movie references other Beatles’ tracks including ‘A Day in the Life’ when the Fab Four encounter the Sea of Holes where John says “This place reminds me of Blackburn, Lancashire.” Paul responds “Oh, boy!” And when George asks how many holes there are, Jeremy, a character from the movie who lives in Nowhere Land, answers, “Enough to fill the Albert Hall.” The movie was a stunning piece of imagination. As George Harrison once said, “It’s all in the mind y’know.”
